What is Playrooms?

Playrooms is a surreal horror-flavored simulation by Two Pixels UG, coming to Steam for Windows. You work in rooms littered with more than 200,000 colorful plastic balls: collect them, return them to the ball pits, and use them as currency to buy equipment, unlock abilities, and earn the keys that open the next area. The rooms themselves keep changing as you progress — from tiled floors to water and endless corridors, including a hallway with an unusual number of doors.

It is not a cozy cleanup game. At the end of working hours the lights go out one by one and you had best stay in the light, with jumpscares, loud sounds, and near-total darkness on the official content warning. A free demo has been available on Steam since October 12, 2026, and the full game is still marked Coming Soon — our wiki tracks every confirmed detail and marks the rest as pending.
