Official mediaPlayrooms Abilities Guide: How Unlocks & Ball Pits Work
How Playrooms ability unlocks work: balls as currency, filling ball pits to unlock new powers, and earning the keys that open the way to the next area of rooms.
Every system in Playrooms feeds one progression chain. Colored balls act as the game's currency: gather them from the rooms, return them to the ball pits, and each filled pit unlocks new abilities. Accumulating enough of the currency also earns keys that open the way to the next area, and the rooms themselves change shape as you advance — from tiled spaces to water and endless corridors. This section explains each confirmed layer of that chain. Ability names, upgrade costs, and the full skill tree have not been published yet, so those pages mark the gaps as pending rather than guessing.
Confirmed systems only
The unlock logic (collect, fill, unlock) is official; the specific abilities and costs are not published yet. We track the Steam page for each new detail.
